Fish and Wildlife Biologist

Duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Plans and conducts investigations/assessments of low-to-moderate complexity to determine the impact of various land and water development projects upon the fish and/or wildlife resources of an area. Assesses impacts of proposed Federal actions on threatened and endangered species and develops draft biological opinions required under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) Amendments. Conducts environmental impact assessments (EIAs) on private land habitat restorations including landowner contacts, mapping, surveying, staking, construction monitoring, seeding, etc., and prepares management plans for restored areas. Maintains and updates files on permits issued for activities associated with endangered, threatened, proposed, and candidate species and their habitats. Assists in developing comprehensive fish and/or wildlife management plans. Plans, organizes, and conducts biological work and/or habitat preservation studies. As a Service representative, attends and/or participates in professional meetings and other meetings pertaining to species associated with the ESA. Only experience and education obtained by 05/27/2020 will be considered Basic Education Requirement for the 0401 Occupational Series:
Degree:
biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR A combination of education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Minimum Qualifications for the 9 grade level:
1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience may include:
Assesses impacts of proposed Federal actions on threatened and endangered species; Conducts investigations/assessments to determine the impact of various land and water development projects upon the fish and/or wildlife resources; Assists in developing fish and/or wildlife management plans. OR 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education, in a discipline directly related to the position, leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree, in a discipline directly related to the position. OR A combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that, when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
